The Cultural Commission was established in 1993. Its mission is to promote cultural programs
and activities in Somers.
The Commission sponsors varied and interesting events throughout the year.
It receives a small stipend from the town, other funds are raised independently and
by receiving donations from the people in town.

The Cultural Commission sponsors the
Mary Drayton Visual Arts Scholarship.The application for the 2012 scholarship application
